Part-time

The qualification is aimed at two major groups of full or part-time staff in the post-16 sector:

• Level 4 qualified teachers or trainers wishing to teach adult literacy as a specialist subject and who are able to demonstrate English language skills and knowledge equivalent to Level 3.
• Existing Level 4 qualified teachers or trainers of adult literacy as a subject specialist who wish to gain a specialist qualification.
• Vocational tutors who are responsible for delivering literacy as part of a full time vocational course

Part-time

The qualification is aimed at two major groups of full or part-time staff in the post-16 sector:

• Level 4 qualified teachers or trainers wishing to teach adult numeracy as a specialist subject and who are able to demonstrate Mathematical skills and knowledge equivalent to Level 3.
• Existing Level 4 qualified teachers or trainers of adult numeracy as a subject specialist who wish to gain a specialist qualification.
• Vocational tutors who are responsible for delivering numeracy as part of a full time vocational course.
