Level 5 Additional Diploma in Teaching Mathematics
(Numeracy) in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Part Time
The target audience is those who teach adult Numeracy in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
The course leads to the award of the new qualification for Adult Numeracy Subject Specialists based on revised subject specifications endorsed by SVUK
Candidates must have or be working towards a PGCE or Cert Ed or have a PTLLS qualification.
Sufficient numeracy classes to be able to teach 75 hours over the length of the course.

The target audience is those who teach adult Literacy in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
The course leads to the award of the new qualification for Adult Literacy Subject Specialists based on revised subject specifications endorsed by SVUK.

Certificate in Adult Numeracy Subject Support OCNW Level 3

The course is designed the meet your training needs if you support or wish to support adult learners to improve their numeracy skills
The course will extend your knowledge & understanding of numeracy development & use. It will also help you to develop your own level of personal Numeracy skills and will develop your understanding of learner support strategies.
- be able to demonstrate mathematical skills and knowledge equivalent to Level 2 (GCSE Maths or equivalent)
- have access to a minimum of 15 hours relevant teaching practice within Further Education / Adult & Community Learning / Work Based Learning settings, teaching at least 2 different levels.
Certificate in Adult Literacy Support OCNW Level 3

The course is designed the meet your training needs if you support or wish to support adult learners to improve their literacy skills
The course will extend your knowledge & understanding of literacy development & use. It will also help you to develop your own level of personal literacy skills and will develop your understanding of learner support strategies.
- be able to demonstrate literacy/language skills and knowledge equivalent to Level 2 (GCSE English or equivalent)
- have access to a minimum of 15 hours relevant teaching practice within Further Education / Adult & Community Learning / Work Based Learning settings, teaching at least 2 different levels.
OCNW Certificate in Learning Support
(Literacy, Numeracy, ESOL)
Part time
The OCNW Level 2 Certificate in Learning Support (Literacy/Numeracy/ESOL) is aimed at those who are supporting or wishing to support adult learners to improve their literacy, numeracy and language skills.
Candidates should also have the opportunity to support appropriate adult learners for a minimum of 10 hours in each subject area.
In addition, candidates should ideally have literacy, numeracy and English language skills at Level 2 or above.
Award in Basic Skills Awareness OCNW Level 2
Part time
The OCNW Level 2 Award in Basic Skills Awareness is aimed at those who are advising or supporting adult learners.
Suitable for Frontline staff.
In addition, candidates should ideally have literacy, numeracy and English language skills at Level 2 or above.
