This qualification replaces the Level 4 Certificate for Adult Literacy Subject Specialists. It is aimed at those teaching literacy to adult learners. Candidates should: hold or be currently working towards a teaching qualification at level 4; have 75 hours of literacy teaching covering at least 2 levels from Entry/Level 1/Level 2; hold an English qualification or be able to demonstrate literacy skills at level 3 or above.
